Attractions:

Star Valley has many attractions to keep you busy.  The valley is fed by mountain lakes, rivers, creeks, and springs flowing into a 20 mile long lake. 

The Intermittent Spring is a unique attraction, being the largest of only three in the world.

Star Valley is home of Freedom Arms, makers of  world class revolvers, and the famous 454 Casull. Visitors are welcome.

 The world famous Star Valley Cheese Restaurant is a mandatory stop, for a cheese burger, and slice of homemade pie. 

Aviat Aircraft produces the internationally recognized Pitts Special.  It is acknowledged as the worlds leading aerobatic and air show display plane.

Golfers will look forward to a day of golf on the signature Johnny Miller 18 hole course or the challenging Star Valley Ranch Country Club.

 

Wildlife:

The forests surrounding the valley are filled with big game including elk, moose, deer, bear, and mountain lions, and fox.  Birds of every kind including, eagles, hawks, swans, cranes, geese, ducks, grouse, osprey, can be seen often.  The lakes, rivers, and streams provide premier fishing, and are teaming with cutthroat, brook, rainbow, german brown, and mackinaw trout.  Make sure you bring your camera along any time you come to Star Valley, the wildlife love to have their picture taken.

 

Year Around Activities:

Recreation abounds in Star Valley.  You can slowly float down Salt River on an inner tube, or white water raft down Snake River if you dare.  The valley’s water resources provide for boating, water-skiing, jet-skiing, and kayaking.

Take pleasure in the valley’s mild summer temperatures while visiting the town parks, nearby campgrounds, tennis courts, and golf courses.

Rodeos and horse shows throughout the summer play a part in the western flavor of life in the valley.

Stroll down the streets of town, and pick up that just right something that you have been looking for.  Or enjoy an auction, or holiday celebration, with meals, parades, and activities to your heart content.

There’s the annual dog sled races, mountain man rendezvous, and dutch oven cooking competition.

Don’t miss the Lincoln county fair, each year, with competition and entertainment galore.  It’s  good old fashioned fun at it’s best.

For the more adventurous, take advantage of Star Valley’s snowmobile trails ranked top in the nation.

 Cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing, and sledding are accessible from any door, all in a winter wonderland.

Star Valley is home to the “All American Cutter Races.”  Watch thoroughbred and quarter horses race a breakneck speed down a quarter mile track.

Remember that Star Valley is only a short drive down the beautiful Snake River Canyon from Jackson Hole, Yellowstone National Park, the magnificent Teton’s, and world class ski mountains.
